Abstract
The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly influenced educational practices, particularly teaching, learning, assessment, and the role of teachers. Existing discussions on AI in education, however, cover diverse issues and are often presented as separate findings across books, journal articles, and other academic sources. This study aims to construct a literature synthesis of Artificial Intelligence in education by re-analyzing the body of literature presented in a previous library research study. Rather than treating the reviewed literature merely as a collection of summaries, this study organizes the reported findings into analytical units, develops initial codes, groups related codes into thematic categories, and synthesizes the relationships among the emerging themes. The study employs library research using documentation as the data collection technique and content analysis as the principal analytical approach. The corpus consists of the books and journal articles cited and discussed in the selected source article concerning Artificial Intelligence and education. The analysis is organized into four stages: data extraction, initial coding, thematic categorization, and cross-theme synthesis. The proposed analytical framework identifies several interconnected dimensions of AI in education, including the educational functions of AI, transformation of teaching and learning, changing teacher roles, educational benefits, and ethical and pedagogical challenges. The study demonstrates how a conventional library research approach can be developed into a more explicit analytical procedure for producing a conceptual synthesis from existing literature.
